The DIANA program is an important element in NATO’s technology and development strategy. Previously, the military was at the forefront of society’s technological development. Today, the private sector is driving technology development, and progress is much faster there than in the military. To keep up with the rapid pace of development, NATO has initiated the DIANA Dual Tech program, which focuses on the development of technologies with applications in both the civilian and defense sectors. Building on the extensive technology network established in the northern region, involving countries such as Norway, Sweden, and Finland, we are now working to establish a center for “Dual Usage Tech” that could attain NATO DIANA status.
